LEADERSHIP LAB

April 25 & 26, 2024

Invest in Your Growth as a Leader

Making the leap from team member to team leader isn’t always easy. Before you can develop others, you need to hone your own skills in coaching, collaboration and change management. Let’s learn what makes you tick, provides purpose in your life and drives you to be your best.

The Leadership Lab is a two-day, intensive workshop for emerging leaders and young professionals in early to mid-career positions in all organizations. The workshop will inspire and equip you to self-reflect and collaborate, so you can build relationships, cultivate strengths and lead others.

Space is limited, so don’t delay. Take the initiative and learn the skills you need to accelerate your career.

DAY 1

Leadership Styles – Coaching others requires self-awareness and empathy. The Enneagram assessment provides a framework for more effective communication and collaboration in the workplace. Participants will learn where their profile fits among the nine personality types, and understand how their type drives workstyle, leadership style, and interactions with team members.

Values-Based Leadership – Our core values play a crucial role in defining effective leadership and crafting a clear sense of purpose in the workplace. Participants will learn about the essential components of core values and how they can be used to guide decision-making, build strong relationships, and foster a culture of accountability and excellence. Through interactive discussions and activities, participants will learn practical strategies for identifying and articulating their own core values, as well as communicating them effectively to others.

DAY 2

Crucial Conversations – Understanding how to improve relationships with employees by building better rapport can be strengthened with radical candor. New leaders naturally reflect on what they did or did not like about previous bosses they have had over their time in the workforce. Learning and reflecting on Kim Scott’s book Radical Candor will provide insight to cohort members about their own style of communication andhow can they begin to develop a culture of radical candor within their team.

Conflict Management – Conflict Management is an essential leadership skill and one that can be developed through study and practice, but conflict, in-and-of-itself, isn’t something to run from. Many crucially important conversations are pre-empted, side-stepped, or swept under the rug, due to fear of poor conflict resolution, leaving productive feedback unshared and invaluable opportunities unrealized. Participants will reflect on their personal approach to navigating conflict with the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument (TKI) and learn valuable steps and tips for shepherding themselves and other to a positive conflict resolution.
