Hear that Chamber Members? it’s the sound of your success. No coasting here. Your progress has propelled you into Autumn and surrounded Greater Omaha with more good news than a maple tree has falling leaves.
Kicking off the kudos is Greater Omaha’s creative community, with a new 2018 No. 7 ranking in SmartAsset’s Top 10 Cities for Creatives, followed by an affordable outcome for area artists as the No. 9-ranked Top 10 City for Starving Artists, according to ZipRecruiter.
That’s not all. You launched it Careerockit style, with the opening of business signups on the region’s largest collective experiential-learning endeavor ever imagined: an all-out opportunity to team organizations and students in an effort to jumpstart career interest.
Speaking of careers, if you’re an entrepreneur with a tech initiative, you won’t want to miss the opportunities offered by The Startup Collaborative, the Metro’s comprehensive fellowship program for early incubator ideas. Join Omaha-based RetailAware, TextyPitch, IHeartYourHouse and more in actualizing your innovation – and creating high-tech applications that make every day a better tomorrow.
It was applause all around for our Small Business of the Month, LifeLoop, a HIPPA-compliant, senior living communication platform, while Bin There Dump That’s only Omaha operation cut the ribbon on clean up and Flywheel announced its 2020 move to Omaha’s Millwork Commons, a $300 million redevelopment project.
No doubt about it, you, Amazing Chamber Members, put the “grow” in “Grow-maha.” Maybe that’s why our friends at FranNet of the Heartland have invited all of us to their upcoming year-end celebration and Fontenelle Forest is offering to help Greater Omaha Lead a Nature-Rich Life this November.
Now, whether you plan to help fuel young entrepreneurs’ ambitions this weekend at KANKEO’s Omaha Children’s Business Fair, or plan to cruise through Cobweb Castle at the Omaha Children’s Museum, know that you, Marvelous Members are the doers, the growers and the givers that keep this community going.
Go get ‘em, Chamber Members!
