Millard Family Chiropractic and Wellness was started back in 2002 by Dr. Sheri Millard and her husband Brad. “We like to think of our clinic as your destination for pain relief and overall better health,” said Dr. Millard. “Whether a patient is experiencing back pain, neck pain, headaches, or even muscular tightness and tension, our team of chiropractors will tailor a plan to help you attain your everyday wellness goals.”
But to Dr. Millard and her team of doctors, the notion “wellness” isn’t relegated to just the physical aspect of life. It extends to matters of the heart – and soul – as well.
“Since the birth of our practice, we’ve been donating time and finances back to the community,” said Dr. Millard. “Thanks to the Chamber, we’ve been able to meet some amazing people through networking events who have really helped us push our philanthropic mission.”
And the spirit of that mission was felt far and wide recently. During the catastrophic floods of 2019, Millard Chiropractic went to work and donated more than $3,000 towards disaster relief; in 2020, they contributed nearly $5,000 to the Omaha Home for Boys, along with volunteering their time at the Food Bank for the Heartland.
As for the business itself, Millard places a heavy emphasis on ensuring their employees (or family members, as they like to think of themselves) have a healthy work-life-balance.
“As a female-owned and operated practice, we believe strongly in supporting one another through care and coaching,” Millard said. “We provide professional coaches for our doctors and other professional staff.” This includes on-going training sessions that keeps everyone current on ever-changing practices within the industry.
“Our mission is to ensure everyone is living their life to the fullest. And for our team, that includes creating a work-life-balance that gives them the chance to find and nurture their purpose.”

Best Practice Tip for Small Business Owners
“All aspects of your business, from marketing to managing employees, should reflect your purpose – not your service or your product. Once you’ve determined your purpose, then continually try to build upon it.”
The Value of Chamber Involvement
“The Greater Omaha Chamber has provided us with some great networking opportunities. We’ve connected with amazing people who have really helped us push our philanthropic mission. We’ve also been able to both attend, and host, events that enabled us to better support our community through education and giving.”
Giving Back to the Community
“Since the birth of our practice, we have been donating time and finances back to the community. We take $50 from every new patient and direct it towards a local non-profit. During the 2019 floods, we donated over $3000 to disaster relief; in 2020 we donated nearly $5000 to Omaha Home for Boys; and so far in 2021, we’ve donated $450 to Rejuvenating Women. We’ve also hosted fundraisers to raise awareness and encourage others to support. This past March, we raised $3,000 to support Bags of Fun Omaha, a local non-profit that delivers bags of toys to children with life threatening illnesses.”
