Director – Public Policy, Greater Omaha Chamber
While we have been aggressive contributors to the political process, we haven’t been aggressive enough, and that is where we need your help.
Oftentimes we give and expect nothing in return. This isn’t one of those times. When you invest in the Chamber PAC, we want you to expect a benefit for your business.
Our PAC engages in statewide and local races with the goal of recruiting, supporting and electing quality candidates, regardless of party, who will support issues important to your business.
To be most effective, we need your investment. Traditional business PAC’s are frequently outspent by PAC’s supporting issues often contrary to the needs of small and large businesses – whether we’re talking about government spending, taxation or regulation.
Consider this:
- Just eleven unions and the trial attorneys combined to put in $1,083,216 in 2014 alone.
- The State Education Association alone has spent $1.17 million over the last two election cycles.
We want this to be a broad-based effort. It’s about joining with other companies across our region and making a statement that our diverse business community believes in and stands for certain important issues – whether you employ five people or 5,000 people.
Any amount – $25 or $50, $1,000 or $10,000 – matters to us. When we aggregate our contributions – both large and smaller – we amplify our ability to enhance our business climate for businesses of all sizes.
Thank you for your consideration.
